Manuel Paolo A. Villar serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of St. Augustine Gold and Copper Limited (SAGCL). He has been CEO of SAGCL since 2012 and was appointed Chairman and CEO in 2014. Mr. Villar also serves as Vice-Chairman of TVI Resource Development (Phils.), Inc. and Director of TVI Pacific Inc., reflecting his active leadership in the Philippine mining industry under Prime Resource Holdings, Inc.

In addition to his mining roles, he was elected President and Chief Executive Officer of Vista Land and Lifescapes, Inc. in July 2011 and President of Vistamalls, Inc in June 2019. Moreover, he is also the President of Powersource Phils Development Corp. and the Chairman of Vista Land subsidiaries Camella Homes, Inc., Communities 8 Philippines, Inc., Crown Asia Properties, Inc., Brittany Corporation, Vista Residences, Inc.

Mr. Villar brings extensive corporate management and investment experience to St. Augustine’s mining and development initiatives.

Mr. Villar graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Bachelor of Applied Science in 1999. He was an Analyst for McKinsey &Co. in the United States from 1999 to 2001. He joined Vista Land in 2001 as Head of Corporate Planning then became its Chief Financial Officer in 2008.
